Court In Kano Sentences Man To Death By Hanging For Killing Friend Over Cap
A High Court in Miller Road, Kano City, has sentenced a man to death by hanging after he was found guilty of the murder of his friend.
The convict, Adamu Isma’ilaArzai, was charged to court in 2016 after he was suspected to have stabbed the man, Auwal Shehu Kabara, during a fistfight over a hat while on a business trip to Bauchi.
The prosecution counsel, Wahida Isma’il, presented five witnesses during the trial, while the accused defended himself.
Delivering judgement, Justice Muhammad Musa Karaye, said it had been proved beyond reasonable doubt that the offence was committed.
