Dangote Refinery cuts ex-depot petrol price to ₦840

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reduced the ex-depot price of petrol from ₦880 to ₦840 per litre.

Spokesman Tony Chiejina confirmed the ₦40 reduction took effect Monday, June 30, following a dip in global oil prices as tensions eased between Israel and Iran.

Major filling stations with direct supply deals—like MRS, Ardova, and Heyden—are expected to reflect the new pricing, likely bringing pump prices below ₦900.

The move comes just weeks after the refinery launched plans for free fuel distribution and introduced a credit facility for bulk buyers, further shaking up Nigeria’s fuel distribution market.
