The Disability Community in Anambra State has declared total support for the APGA candidate in the November 6 Governorship election in the state, Professor Chukwuma Soludo.
The Director, APGA Campaign for the Disability Constituency, Barrister Chukwuka Ezewuzie, made their stand known at a press briefing in Awka.
He pointed out that the four pillars of Professor Soludo’s plan namely Economic Transformation, Social Agenda, Governance, Rule of Law and Value as well as Environment, will give the state a grand slam economy for an industrial, viable and virile State with fiscal responsibility.
He described Professor Soludo as a man who has ability, understanding and exposure and does not have partisan interest but national and global interests.
From the Disability Community perspective, Barrister Ezewuzie who is also the Special Adviser to the Governor on Disability Matters opined that Professor Soludo is the best person to succeed Governor Obiano because under his Social Agenda, taking care of the vulnerable is a yardstick for measuring the strength and impact of a strong economy on the populace.
He commended the Governor for signing the Disability Rights Law in 2018, which he said is in tandem with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and patterned after the “Americans with Disability Act”.
Speaking further, Barrister Ezewuzie noted that governor Obiano presented Soludo as the person who has connection, competence, capability and creativity to continue and take the vision to the next level.
The Disability Community, therefore, encouraged Ndi Anambra to choose and vote for Professor Soludo in the coming election.
