The strength, mobility and dexterity of youths across villages, communities, cities, states and the globe confer on them the catalyst parameters. They are the newsmakers and rainmakers. They can make, build and easily destroy out of anger, ignorance, immaturity, misinformation, joblessness and frustrations. In this class of citizens lies great and positive potentials such that articulate harnessing of these attributes can be rediscovered, reinvented and re-channelled into productive and worthwhile ventures.
Dr Chidozie Nwankwo’s plans for Anambra youths are enshrined in his blueprint aimed at protecting, sustaining, developing, empowering and capacity building in all facets of the Youth advancements.
He’s aware of the basic and compulsory education of the youths. The blueprint presents free and compulsory education up to the secondary schools level. He’s conscious of the skills acquisition, technological transfer and development which has wealth creation potential. He captured sports especially grassroots sports development as a veritable tool for a career path, positive integration and engagements, employment generation, and deepening friendship towards peaceful coexistence. The incoming governor knows the inflow from Artists and will harness, package and deliver same especially, actors, musicians among others. In the past especially in the era of old Anambra State, the current Anambra State boast of the likes of Chief Emmanuel Okala, Sylvanus Okpala, Amobi Okoye, Linda Ogugua, Mikel Obi, Austin Ejide etc in sports.
Three major approaches towards practical youth development are: first, identifying technologically gifted children, mentoring, training and equipping them. Secondly, is to organize Youth Town Hall meetings to hear them, rub minds and draw up workable partnership plans in various areas of youth developments. Thirdly, the government will create enabling environment to drive private sector investment in sports development like stadiums, sports academy and recreational facilities. In Movies, Anambra State can boast of A-rated actors that can transform our endowed, jobless but willing and creative youths into stars and superstars. Great minds like Chief Pete Edochie, Chief Ugeze Ugeze, Chief Chinwetalu Agu, Chief Bob Manuel Udokwu, Eucharia Anunobi, etc will be made to mentor younger ones in the industry.
These plans and more can only be activated through your vote by electing Dr Chidozie Nwankwo of the African Action Congress (AAC) as the next Executive Governor of Anambra State come November 6, 2021.
