
The Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Reverend Paulinus Ezeokafor, has described Easter as the greatest celebration in the Christendom.
Bishop Ezeokafor who stated this while delivering his 2021 Easter Message at Saint Patrick’s Catholic Cathedral, Awka, noted that God demonstrated his love for mankind by giving up his son for the salvation of mankind.
He called on Nigerians to love one another as Jesus did for humanity when he died on the cross.
The Catholic Bishop blamed increasing rate of insecurity across the country on much emphasis on material wealth and worldly positions, pointing out that men must relate well with each other to earn a place in eternity.
Bishop Ezeokafor further asserted that though COVID-19 is ravaging the entire world, God in His Infinite love and mercy spares Nigeria and Africa
He advised Nigerians to avail themselves of the COVID-19 vaccination, calling on government to address the hesitancy among the citizens .

He condemned attacks on communities by suspected herdsmen and attacks on security agencies by unknown gunmen, saying it was time government intervened decisively.
On farmers/herders clashes, Bishop Ezeokafor asserted that both are occupations therefore, cow rearers should not be allowed to destroy another person’s profession.
