In a twist of events, Blessing Agbomhere, a prominent figure in the All Progressive Congress (APC), has shifted his stance on seeking political power.
After declaring his intention to contest the 2024 governorship election in his state on December 30, 2023, Agbomhere, who once insisted that power should not be begged for, has now penned a letter to APC national chairman Umar Ganduje and other party stakeholders, appealing for the governorship ticket.
In the letter, titled ‘Application to be Endorsed as the 2024 Edo State All Progressives Congress’ Governorship Candidate,’ Agbomhere cites loyalty and commitment to the party as grounds for deserving the ticket, emphasizing the party’s recent victory and expressing his dedication to the development of Edo State.
According to an annoymous source, the twist in his approach to power dynamics raises questions about the evolving dynamics within the APC.
