Newly renovated Umuchu Police Station has been burnt down again.
It was reported that some hoodlums besieged and set the station on fire at about 3 am on Sunday .
The President General, Umuchu Progressive Union , Charles Ezeabasili called it an unfortunate and disheartening incident. He said that the police station was recently renovated by the members of the community and was about to be handed over to the police. The station was vacated after it was burnt down during the EndSars saga .
No casualty was recorded as there was no official police on duty at the time of the attack.
Confirming the incident, Anambra Police Spokesman, Tochukwu Ikenga said that calm has returned to the area and urged people of the community to assist the police with information to unravel the perpetrators behind the crime.
