Following the infamous release of prisoners in the Benin Correction Centre by hoodlums pretending to be End SARS protesters, a renowned legal expert based in Amawbia, Barrister Chike Oranye, said the act is capable of undermining the essence of their demonstration.
In a statement, Barrister Oranye reasoned that such action should not have taken place given the categories of offences committed by the escaped inmates of the Correction centre.
He however endorsed the nationwide Endsars protests which, he noted, are overdue in view of the widespread corruption and injustices in the country.
The legal expert challenged the federal government and all relevant agencies of government, including leaders at all levels of government, to sit up and address the demands of the masses who are yearning for good governance.
He expects the youths not to be violent, but to go about it in the most civilized manner.
