The Enugu State Gaming and Lotto Commission has sealed several unlicensed gaming outlets in a renewed clampdown on illegal operations.
Led by Executive Secretary Prince Arinze Arum, the commission sealed off jackpot slot machine centres run by Yanga Game at venues including Ballroom, Eclipse Resort, Kepong Villa, and others in Enugu.
Arum warned that all gaming operators must be licensed, stressing that the state is deploying geo-location technology to monitor approved operators.
He emphasized the importance of a structured gaming ecosystem and the need for responsible gaming practices in line with Governor Peter Mbah’s $30 billion economic vision.
He noted that the licensing process has been made easy to encourage compliance, urging operators to follow legal procedures or face sanctions.
