In order to encourage religious discussion and peaceful coexistence in the nation, the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, has encouraged the President-elect, Bola Ahmad Tinubu, to create the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
He made the request at the Friday launch of Action Aid Nigeria’s Interfaith Facilitators’ Guide.
The Emir, who was represented by Babba Dan-Agundi, the district chief of Nasarawa, said
of Nasarawa, Babba Dan-Agundi said the ministry would help promote religious tolerance and understanding among Nigerians.
He said that peace is an indispensable aspect of creatures on the planet, and there is a compelling need for it to be safeguarded.
The Country Director, of Action Aid Nigeria, Ene Obi said that Nigerians must live in peace with one another irrespective of tribe, religion, and political differences for collective political growth.
