FCTA confirms looting of warehouse in Abuja

The Agricultural and Rural Development Secretariat of the Federal Capital Territory Administration confirmed the looting of its warehouse in Dei-Dei on Sunday, attributing the incident to economic hardship.

According to spokesperson Zakari Aliyu, the warehouse was vandalized, with residents stripping it of its contents and damaging the infrastructure.

It was also reported that the FCT Minister of State, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, and Mandate Secretary Lawan Geidam will visit the site today for further assessment and information dissemination.

Meanwhile, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) clarified that its Abuja warehouse was not affected, emphasizing efforts to enhance security across its facilities nationwide.
