The Federal Government has directed WAEC and NECO to fully adopt Computer-Based Testing for all examinations by 2026.
Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, disclosed this while monitoring ongoing examinations in Bwari alongside JAMB officials.
He stated that both bodies would begin administering objective papers through CBT from November this year, with full CBT implementation for both essay and objective components by May/June 2026.
Dr. Alausa emphasized that the shift will help eliminate examination malpractice.
Meanwhile, JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, said over 1.6 million of the 2.03 million registered candidates have completed their UTME, dismissing complaints about early arrival times and wrong centre postings.
