The Federal Government is set to develop a Diaspora City, allowing Nigerians abroad to invest and reconnect with their roots.
Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, made the announcement in Abuja during the unveiling of the Motherland 2025 initiative. She emphasized that the project goes beyond tourism, serving as a platform for economic growth and cultural exchange.
Musawa described Motherland 2025 as a global festival showcasing Nigeria’s rich heritage, innovation, and investment potential. The initiative includes state pavilions, exhibitions, and the Motherland Ambassador Awards, recognizing outstanding diaspora contributions.
With Diaspora City as a long-term goal, the project aims to strengthen ties between Nigerians abroad and their homeland, fostering lasting economic and cultural connections.
