In response, the Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, condemned the generalization of Nigerians as criminals, calling it unfair and dangerous.

She emphasized that most Nigerians in Ghana are law-abiding and contribute positively to society, urging both countries to maintain peace and brotherhood.

Dabiri-Erewa dismissed reports of attacks on Nigerian properties and warned against inciteful language or retaliation. She assured that the matter is being handled diplomatically.
