Final Year Student of University of Ilorin Expelled For Assaulting Female Lecturer

A final year student , Salaudeen Waliu ,who beat a female lecturer of the University of Ilorin to coma has been expelled by the University.

Spokesperson of the institution, Kunle Akogun confirmed the expulsion to Journalists.

Waliu was found guilty after being tried by the student discplinary committee on Monday.

A letter written by the University registrar to Waliu stated that after due consideration of all evidence before it, the committee was convinced that the allegation of misconduct has been established against him and to that effect,the vice chancellor has directed that he , Waliu Aanuoluwa be expelled from the University with immediate effect.

He was required to immediately submit all university property in his custody to the Dean of Student affairs and keep off the campus.

Waliu was alleged to have assaulted the lecturer, Rahmat Zakariyau in her office after she refused to help him graduate following his failure to do the mandatory students industrial Work experience scheme.

Salaudeen has been handed over to the police for further necessary action.
