
Also on Friday, a fire outbreak was reported at V. Mac filling station along Nnewi Nnobi Road at about 8am.

According to the Sector Public Education Officer of the FRSC, Edor Florence,
the fire resulted from an electrical fault from a diesel-laden tanker, with registration number NKE 122 XE.
At the time of the incident, the tanker driver was on board but managed to escape unhurt.
V.Mac filling station however was burnt down as a result of the fire outbreak.
Luckily, no injury or death was recorded.
Subsequently, men of the fire service were on ground to put out the fire, while the FRSC rescue team from Nnewi Command and other security agencies managed traffic as the burnt trailer obstructed the flow of traffic.
The Sector Commander Anambra State, Andrew Kumapayi has advised motorist to ensure their vehicles are in good condition before proceeding on any journey to avoid such fire outbreaks in future.
