Former House Of Assembly Member, Commissioner, S.A., Chief Sylvester Nwobu-Alor, Laid Rest

The remains of former House of Assembly Member, representing Njikoka in the Old Anambra state, Chief Sylvester Nwobu – Alor, have been laid to rest in his compound at Amatutu Village, Anaocha LGA, of Anambra state, on Friday, 13th January 2023.

Chief Hon. slyverster Nwobu Alor (onwa Agulu) was also the Special Adviser to former Governor Peter Obi on Parks and Markets.

In a Sermon at the burial Mass which took place at Madonna Catholic Church, Agulu, a visiting Priest, Rev Fr. Dr. Fabian Obi, who is the Rector, Tansi Major Seminary Onitsha, reminded all that as mortals, they would one day be made to give account of their stewardship before God.

Adding his voice, the Parish Priest, Madonna Catholic Church, Agulu, Rev Fr Dr Joseph Nwanna, described the late Nwobu-Alor as a peace maker and generous man, who though was not a Christan, was later converted and lived a good Christian life before he died.

Other Priests who spoke on the occasion were the two Parish Vicars, Rev. Frs Leonard and Ambrose, as well as another visiting Priest, Rev. Fr Muomagha.

In a tribute to the deceased the presidential candidate of Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi, described his Uncle as a nice and caring man who believed that good name is better than wealth, and advised those he left behind to build on his legacies.

Commiserating with the deceased family, the Labour Party Candidate for Anambra Central Senatorial District, Chief Senator Victor Umeh, also observed that late Chief Sylvester Nwobu-Alor lived an examplary life, charging the children to sustain his legacies.

Another guest, Ichele Agulu, described him as a man of high principle and lover of all and prayed God to give the family and community the fortitude to bear the loss.
