Former Vice President of Nigeria and Presidential Candidate of PDP , Abukakar Atiku Says He will Give Igbos Chance To Lead Nigeria After His Tenure

Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has said he will work towards having an Igbo successor if he wins in 2023.

Abubakar spoke on Tuesday during a meeting with PDP south-east zonal stakeholders in Enugu.

He said he had chosen running mates in past election cycles from the south-east, adding that he will support the process to ensure an Igbo president if elected.
He said that he will be a stepping stone to an Igbo man becoming president.

He also said his love for the Igbo is so great as south-east is close to his heart and appreciated their support .
