Four Nigerian students have been sentenced in the UK for their roles in a violent altercation in Leicester.
The incident, which occurred on November 4, 2021, in New Park Street, involved knives and a baseball bat, resulting in an 18-year-old victim sustaining multiple stab wounds.
Following a six-week trial which concluded in October, the following sentences were handed down on November 14.
Destiny Ojo, 21, received seven years Habib Lawal, also 21, was sentenced to five years. Ridwanulahi Raheem got three years and Joshua Davies-Ero was given two years.
A fifth defendant awaits sentencing on November 22. Police emphasized the serious dangers of such violent behavior and thanked the public for their assistance in the investigation.
