FRSC To Intensify Fight Against Drivers License Violation In Anambra

Anambra State Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, says it will be carrying out a special operation tagged, “Operation Show your Drivers License” beginning from 4th April, 2023.

A driver’s license is a legal authorization, or the official document confirming such an authorization, for a specific individual to operate one or more types of motorized vehicles such as: motorcycles, cars, trucks, or buses on a public road.

A statement issued by the Acting Public Education Officer of the Command, RC Margaret Onabe, on behalf of the Sector Commander, said it has been observed that many drivers within Anambra State operate on the road without valid Nigeria’s drivers’ license.

The release warned that Photocopies or covering notes will not be acceptable; and that only permanent or temporary Drivers license will be accepted.

The Acting Sector Public Education Officer advised members of the public yet to collect their permanent drivers license to go to Board of Internal Revenue to collect it.

The Command also urged driver with expired drivers license to renew it

Furthermore, it advised drivers without drivers license to apply through the proper channels to acquire it.
