God’s Attributes Extolled As The Anglican Communion, Awka Diocese Held It’s 12th Synod.

The Archbishop of the Ecclesiastical Province of the Niger and Anglican bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Reverend Alexander Ibezim has called on Christians not to be detered by the hardship in the country, while also calling on the government to rise to their responsibilities.

He also called on government to support small scale industries in Nigeria and equally support the indigent citizens.

Bishop Ibezim made the call on the second day of the 12th Synod of the Anglican Diocese, Awka which started on Friday 7th August and ended on Sunday 9th August, 2020.

The 12th Synod , which was held in adherence to Covid-19 protocols as directed by Nigeria Center for Disease Control and State Government had bishops, clergymen, stakeholders and synod delegates in attendance.

The Synod which had it’s theme as God of eternal destiny and His major Attributes, commenced with a message by the Right Revd. Mannesa Okere , Bishop of Isiukwuato Diocese. He described God’s major Attributes as Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresence.

While extolling God’s attributes, he stated that God’s sovereignty is imputed in His mercy and justice.
He equally called on Christians to be ready to answer God’s call .

Also delivering a message on the third and last day of the Synod, Bishop of Kwoi Diocese, Kaduna, Right Revd. Samuel Zamani while speaking on the purpose of eternal destiny , advised Christians to treat others as they would themselves as no one can survive in isolation.

Bringing the 12th Synod to a close, Bishop Ibezim thanked God for it’s success and commended the Host , All Saints Anglican Church, Amenyi and others who graced the occasion .
