In a related development on the #endsars protest,
Governor Willie Obiano has suspended indefinitely, the 2021 budget presentation before the Anambra house of assembly over the #EndSARS protests by youths across the state.
This was made known by the Speaker of the House, Honorable Uche Okafor, during an emergency plenary on Thursday in Awka.
The speaker appealed to protesters to embrace peace and allow government authorities attend to their agitations, while assuring that the Anambra lawmakers under his leadership sympathize with the protesters over the events Tuesday night’s events at Lekki toll gate in Lagos.
He also advised relevant stakeholders to come to the roundtable to discuss issues involved and arrive at amicable ways of ending the rights violations completely in the country.
A minute silence was observed in honour of the fallen protesters in all part of the country.
