The Inspector-General of Police, Olukayode Egbetokun, has assured all citizens and residents in the country that the Nigeria Police Force has taken proactive measures to ensure the safety and security of every individual during the Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
While facilitating Muslims on the Eid-el-Fitr, Egbetokun urged the general public to adhere to security measures.
The Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, made this known in a statement on Monday.
Adejobi added that Egbetokun has ordered the deployment of officers to Eid Prayer Grounds and recreational centres in order to assure citizens of the force commitment to ensure safety during the Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
