IGP Mohammed Adamu approves the removal of Ebonyi state from zone 13, Anambra to zone 9

The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has approved the removal of Ebonyi State from Zone 13, Ukpo, Anambra State to Zone 9, Umuahia.

It could be recalled that the governor of Ebonyi State, Engr. David Umahi, had on 14th August, 2020, while inaugurating Ebonyi State community policing advisory committees, pleaded with the Inspector General of Police to kindly remove the state from the newly created zone 13, Ukpo, Anambra state to Umuahia, majorly on the ground of the proximity and safety of Ebonyians.

Two weeks and 3 days, down the line, the IGP granted his request.

The governor who thanked the IGP for his quick response, expressed his commitment in the security of lives and property of Ebonyians and beyond.
