The traditional ruler of Ezinato in Awka South, Igwe Timothy Ezenwaka, has called for the rehabilitation of the Gariki- Amansea- Ndiukwuenu- Awa- Ufuma road, as a strategy towards boosting Agriculture and easing the usual traffic gridlock in Awka and Amawbia towns.
The traditional ruler described the road awarded by the Peter Obi administration some years back as very important, and appealed to the incoming Professor Soludo administration to consider it as the first road project he will tackle when he takes over the mantle of leadership in the state.
Igwe Ezenwaka narrated the ordeal users of experience along the Amansea- Garaki- Ezinato end of the road during the rainy season, causing them to abandon their vehicles to find other alternative means of transporting themselves.
He said for them, coming to Awka and going back to Ezinato during the rainy season has become a nightmare, adding that he now uses a motorcycle popularly known as Okada, abandoning his official traditional ruler’s vehicle which is now impossible to use.
The royal father remains optimistic that Professor Soludo given his proven track record of excellence would fix the road in question.
