INEC fixed Saturday, February 18th, 2023 as the 2023 general elections in the country.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has fixed Saturday, February eighteenth 2023 for the 2023 general elections in the country.

INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu announced this at a one-day public hearing on the National Electoral Offences Commission Establishment Bill 2021, organized by the Senate Committee on INEC.

Professor Yakubu said, by the principle established by the Commission, the 2023 general election will hold exactly one year, nine months, two weeks and six days from the date of the announcement.
