The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), in collaboration with the Army and Navy, has uncovered an illegal refinery and petrol station in Anambra State.
The facility was found at Y-Junction, Nkwelle Ezunaka, in Oyi Local Government Area.
NSCDC Commandant, Olatunde Maku, disclosed this in a statement issued in Awka on Sunday, by spokesperson Edwin Okadigbo.
He said the discovery followed credible intelligence about illegal petroleum activities.
Maku warned those operating illegal refineries and impersonating petroleum officials to steer clear of Anambra, stressing that offenders will be arrested and prosecuted.
He also commended the Army and Navy for their support during the operation.
