
Justice Nkemdilim Amelia Izuako of Ovollo Mbaukwu was on sunday the 20th of december honoured with a Lifetime Achievement award in recognition of her numerous contributions to the society at the maiden edition of Anambra Man of The Year Award.
Justice Izuako the first high court judge from Mbaukwu and the youngest judge in Anambra at a time, is a retired United Nations Dispute Tribunal president and the former pioneer chairperson of FIDA Anambra.
She started her career at the magisterate court in Anambra where she left indeliable marks of meaningful impacts in the justice system of the state. As a passionate activist for equal rights and quality justice delivery, she used her position at Fida to advocate the establishment of Family complaints desk to recieve reports on domestic violence at police stations accross the state which is a success story until today. In assisting social development, she mobiles women and girls educating them on their rights and the need to be economically and socially empowered.
Speaking after the award, Justice Nkem thanked the Eminent Magazine, the organisers of the award for the recognition while dedicating the award to every girl child aspiring to impact the society postively.
