Alhaji Saidu Ibrahim has officially taken over as the new Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Katsina State.
This follows the retirement of the former Coordinator, Hajiya Aisha Muhammad, who stepped down after reaching the mandatory retirement age of 60.
During a brief handover ceremony held on Friday in Katsina, Ibrahim appealed for continued support and collaboration among staff to fulfill the NYSC’s objectives in the state.
He pledged to maintain an open-door policy and prioritize the welfare of both staff and corps members.
In his remarks, Ibrahim shared a personal connection to Katsina, noting that he completed part of his secondary education in the state, which he now considers his second home.
The outgoing Coordinator, Hajiya Aisha Muhammad, expressed gratitude to the Katsina State government for its support during her tenure.
She described Ibrahim as a seasoned officer and urged all stakeholders to support him in his new role.
