Lone Crash at Ihiala leaves 2 mortally injured

A lone crash involving a Delica bus with an unidentified driver and registration number AAH 523 ZV was reported in Ihiala, opposite Ken Maduako’s filling station at about 10:50 am on Friday 8th January, 2021.

According to the Sector Public Education Officer, Edor Florence,
Eyewitness account shows that the crash resulted from a break failure after a tyre of the vehicle burst while in motion.
The crash involved 18 persons; comprising of 5 female adults, 9 male adults and 4 female children.
2 persons sustained varying degree of injuries ( 1 female adult and 1 female child) and were promptly taken to “Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital”, Ihiala by the FRSC rescue team in Ihiala.

The Sector Commander Corps Commander Andrew A Kumapayi in reaction wishes the injured quick recovery and warned motorist to desist from using secondhand or expired tyres.
