Ezenweluibe family of Agbani quarters, umuawulu celebrated their Mother, Mrs Patricia Chinwe Okafor, as she clocked 80 on the 3rd of January, 2021.
The celebration commenced with a mass at St Joseph’s catholic Church, Umuawulu at 10am, to give thanks to the Almighty the giver of life, for keeping Mama alive, strong and healthy.
After the Thanksgiving at the Church, the ceremony took place at her compound – Ezenweluibe Compound at Agbani quarters umuawulu.
The celebrant, after cutting the cake with her children, grand children and great grand children, thanked God Almighty the giver of life for His mercies, despite the situation of the world with Covid 19.
She prayed for more life, health and above all, strength, while expressing her joy on seeing everyone present to celebrate with her, and prayed that celebration will never cease in their lives.
Ngozi Ogu, the celebrant’s first daughter, speaking to Kpakpando crew at the event, expressed her happiness on the day and gave God all the Glory who made it possible for them all to gather in celebration as one and prayed that they will keep on celebrating,
She also prayed to God to keep their mother strong and healthy. Wishing everyone more life.
Also speaking, in an interview, Mr Ugochukwu Okafor (Ezenweluibe) described mama as one in a million and the best in the world
Adding that she is a pride of Mbaukwu, he prayed, even in his next world she will continue to be his mum and will also come from Mbaukwu.
He prayed for good health and abundant grace to keep them going.
Mr Ignatius Okafor (Chief Commandant, Ezenweluibe Na Umuawulu) also speaking to Kpakpando crew, said his joy knew no bounds, describing mama as a very humble and selfless woman.
He also noted she was very dedicated to God, even as he prayed that the good Lord will keep on preserving her with long life and good health so that they will keep celebrating her every year.
He further prayed for the invitees who honoured the invitation, wishing them more blessing and God’s protection to their various destinations.
Mrs ukamaka Nwogo express her gratitude to God Almighty for making the celebration possible, adding that only His Grace put them through.
She described mama as peace loving mother, who cares for all, praying for her to live more longer so as to enjoy fully her fruit of her womb.
She also asked for God’s favour and protection over them all.
In expression of her joy, the celebrant took to the dance floor and was sprayed money by equally joyful well wishers.
The event attracted dignitaries from different part of the country, including Pharmacists who came in respect of her last born; Pharm Innocent Okafor to pay homepage to the celebrant.
Mama’s inlaws were all there present, Mr Emmanuel Nwogo (Obuekunie Na Amawbia), Mr Austin Ogu from Mbaise Imo state and so many others, friends and well wishers.
Including her children, grand children and great grand children.
