Man Arrested For Defiling Neighbour’s 13 Yr Old Daughter In Ogun
A 29-year-old man identified as Tayo Adeleke has been arrested by Ogun State Police operatives for allegedly defiling his neighbour’s 13-year-old daughter.
Sources said that the suspect was caught in the act inside the room of the girl’s mother in the Monico area of Ogijo, Ogun State on October 9, 2023.
The source said the girl’s mother identified as Mosunmola returned late from work when she noticed that the light in her apartment had been switched off.
She suspected that something was not right, and immediately put on the light, only to see the suspect defiling the daughter.
The suspect was said to have recently completed his National Youth Service, and was accommodated by the family of the minor.
According to a family source who pleaded anonymity, also disclosed that the family had been feeding the young man only for him to pay them back with evil.
“The family has been the most accommodating since his youth service programme. They fed him and were even thinking of getting him a job after his NYSC. He betrayed everyone,” the source narrated.
When contacted, the State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident, adding that the case would be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Eleweran, Abeokuta, once the preliminary investigation was completed.
“The suspect has been arrested after the incident was reported by the mother of the victim,” she said.
