Man Killed In Zamfara For Refusing Bandit Marry His Daughter
A man has been killed in Zamfara State by bandits for daring to refuse to give his daughter’s hand in marriage to a bandit.
The man was killed by bandits in Kwalfada village in the Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
According to the report, one of the bandits proposed marriage to girl, but her father refused.
According to a source in the village, Mallam Rabo, the father later gave his daughter to one of the men in the village rather than the bandit.
Rabo said, “After the marriage was contracted, the bandits invaded the community and killed the man.
“They also asked the husband of the girl to divorce her so that their colleague would marry her.
“They threatened to kill the husband if he did not comply with the directive.
“The husband immediately divorced the wife and she was remarried to the bandit who took her to the forest.”
Rabo lamented that the bandits had been terrorizing the community for a long time and no action has been taken by the authorities to provide security for the residents.
He further revealed that the bandits imposed N4m levy on the village a few weeks ago.
