Barcelona star, Lionel Messi has said he has decided to stay at Barcelona.

The reigning world football player, had earlier sent shock waves across the footballing world when he said he was leaving the Spanish giants – Barcelona and had been in negotiations towards that end over the past few weeks.

He however, made a u-turn on his exit, stating on Friday that he could never go to court against “the club of his life”.

The club had earlier maintained that the only way he will be let go was if his 700-million-euro release clause was met; which Messi described as being “impossible”.

Messi however accused the club president, Josep Maria Bartomeu of going back on an agreement to let him leave for free at the end of last season.

Adding that his desire to leave was unconnected with the team’s humiliating defeat to Bayern Munich in the champions league has the option to take the matter to trail but insists he was not interested in going against his boyhood club in court; agreeing to stay and give his best to the club regardless of the issue.
