
The Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed has called on parents to teach family values to their children in order save the country from decay.
Sha made the statement during a stakeholders’ meeting in Kaduna with 77 district heads , religious and community leaders from the 23 local government areas of Kaduna state.
She said that parents should intensify efforts towards their children’s training and should be aware that their children need to be upright and shun criminality.
While emphasizing that the federal government’s entrepreneurship support fund is to enable youths grow their business, she said it will enable young people to achieve their innovative and Entrepreneurial ideas and also be employers of labour.
According to reports, the Minister of Environment, Dr Muhammad Mahmud, stressed the need for everyone to jointly tackle the security challenges in the country. He also advised the youths to learn skills that will help them be self reliant.
Also at the event, the Kaduna State deputy governor , Dr Hadiza Balarabe enjoined stakeholders to sensitize their communities on the need to be law abiding always. Condemning the recent spate of looting and destruction of public and private properties, she hoped that the ongoing talks would lead to understanding and collective efforts to develop the state.
According to reports , the Ekiti state governor, Dr Fayemi Kayode, governors of Sokoto and Jigawa, Aminu Tambuwal and Badaru Abubakar were at the event among other dignitaries.
