Anambra State Government through the Ministry of Diaspora Affairs, Indigenous Artworks, Culture and Tourism is set to organise a virtual International Conference with Anambra indigenes in The Diaspora.
The Commissioner, Dr Kenneth Anierobi said this during a meeting with the staff members of Diaspora Affairs Department in his office at the Jerome Udoji Secretariat, Awka.
Dr Anierobi hinted that the interactive session will involve Ndi Anambra living outside the country and those living outside the state through a Diaspora portal which will be used to showcase the rich cultural heritage of the state, tourist sites, programmes and other important positive information.
The commissioner also urged the staff members to work as a team, share vital information among them and bring up ideas that would boost the ministry.
Acting Director of Diaspora Affairs, Mrs Nneka Nwankwo thanked the Commissioner for the opportunity to interact with him.
She pointed that her department markets the rich cultural activities and tourist sites of the state to the world while pledging to do more
Mr Igwemma Basil, a Cultural Officer, thanked the commissioner for summoning the meeting.
He reassured him that they would work hard as a team to actualise all the plans of the department.
