The finals of Agulu Empowerment Competition sponsored by late Mr Josephat and late Mrs Agnes Obi
Memorial Foundation took place at Agulu town hall on 27th and 28th of August 2022.
More than 600 people were empowered with a million naira, vehicle and motorcycles.
The president
general, Olivia Nwachukwu Afamefuna , also known as Owelle Agulu, said that the purpose of this empowerment was to help and create jobs especially for the youths of Agulu because it is said that an idle man is a devil’s work shop.
In his speech he said his ambition is to make Agulu an international state like Abia and Onitsha. He also advised the beneficiaries to use the money wisely so as to help others in the future.
The sports chairman Ozo Michael Mbanusi advised the beneficiaries to work harder to be able to achieve their goal for the future.
He also thanked the President General of Agulu, and prayed that God will continue to guide and protect him.
The beneficiaries expressing their joy, promised to make good use of the resources they got and make Late Mr Josephat and late Mrs Agnes Obi Memorial Foundation and Agulu community proud.
