Mothers have been advised to see motherhood as a spiritual work that has been bestowed on them and work towards the higher calling for their lives.
This was made known by Mrs Ezeobi, vice president of the Mbaukwu archdeaconry and wife of Venerable C Ezeobi of St Lawrence Parish, Mbaukwu during a Live Program at Kpakpando 101.9.fm as part of events marking this year’s Mothers Day of the Anglican Communion. Her visit to Kpakpando Media House was in the company of some mothers of the Anglican Communion and Reverend Okoroafor.
Mrs Ezeobi emphasized the need for women to be active in church activities, especially getting involved in the Women’s Guild and Mother’s Union, as they are pillars of the church and society at large. She also stated that women are the neck of the family and as such, should be spiritually aligned to carry out the enormous responsibility that has been put on them.
In her remarks , Mrs Nwankwo called on women that have lost their husbands to stand firm and put their hope in God for all their needs.
Mrs Nneka Okoye also called on women to be models of healthy living in the society .
Rev Okoroafor, thanked the Archdeacon , Venerable Ezeobi for their support to the women and also admonished women to train up their children in the way of the Lord while also cautioning young people to be hearers and doers of the word and be obedient to their mothers.
In her response, the Managing Director of Kpakpando Media, Comrade Monic Okechukwu, thanked the women for their annual visit , which always brings joy to the organisation. She also extolled the importance of mothers and wished the women the best in this selfless act.of Motherhood.
Other highlights that marked the visit were presentation of gifts from the mothers, music and dance.
