I have always considered myself incredibly favoured by the Almighty God. The events of this last week confirmed this belief. One of the high points of the town hall meetings I hosted for my party’s – Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) – delegates is the event with women leaders from the 326 wards of Anambra State.
Women are one of the two anchors of our Ka Anambra Chawapu Project. The role of women in shaping and transforming society is not only critical but urgent. If we must indeed break away from a dysfunctional past and set ourselves on the path to excellence in governance and true prosperity for all, we must invite our women to be an integral part of the process.
As I told the women, and I mean every word, I am offering myself to serve Ndi Anambra as Governor as a sacrifice of thanksgiving for what God has done for me in my life. I have had an amazing life with uncountable blessings.
I am so grateful for the blessing I received from the PDP women leaders. Thank you to all the women leaders for adding their prayers to my life. I feel blessed, and I know that the good LORD who blessed me will surely use me as a channel to bless our people.
