The Federal Government has warned Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, against inciting violence over the outcome of the Presidential elections.
The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed made this known in Washington DC during his official engagements with some international media organisations.
Mohammed, during interactions with media organizations in the US said that Obi and his Vice, Datti Ahmed cannot be threatening Nigerians that it will be the end of democracy if the President-elect, Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is sworn-in on May 29.
He said it is treason as they cannot be inviting insurrection. He also insinuated that Obi’s statement shows he is a desperate person and not the democrat that he claimed to be as a democrat should not believe in democracy only when he wins the election.
