Anambra State Governor’s wife, Nonye Soludo, has reaffirmed her dedication to leading the charge in protecting women, children, and girls from abuse and violence in the state.
During a meeting at the Governor’s Lodge in Amawbia with partners from IPAS Nigerian Health Foundation, it was decided to adopt two key policy documents into Anambra’s legal framework. These documents focus on the medical management of cases of violence against women and the safe termination of pregnancy for legal implications.
Mrs. Soludo emphasized the importance of comprehensive implementation and harmonization across all sectors to ensure effective enforcement of these policies. She also highlighted her commitment to advocacy and championing initiatives that safeguard the well-being of women, children, and girls in Anambra State.
The efforts are part of a broader movement, “Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo,” which advocates for reproductive health and addresses health issues related to pregnancies.
