Multiple Traffic Crash Leads To Death Of Motorcycle Rider In Umuazu Nteje

A multiple fatal traffic crash was reported between a Mr Udoka Nwoya; the driver of Mercedes Benz Tipper with registration number XA 156 EFR and unidentified Motorcycle Rider without registration number at Umuazu Nteje on Friday at about 11:10am.

According to the Sector Public Education Officer, Edor Florence,
2 male adults were involved in the crash.

The injured motorcycle rider was subsequently taken to Chira hospital Awkuzu, by the FRSC rescue team from Nteje unit Command and confirmed dead by the Doctor on duty, his body thereafter deposited at Wisdom Mortuary, Nteje.

Eyewitness reported that the crash resulted from speeding.

Subsequently, the Sector Commander Anambra State FRSC, Andrew Kumapayi has warned motorist to avoid speeding especially in built up areas, he advised motorist to use maximum speed limit of 50km/hr when in built up areas and also warned bike riders to always put on their safety helmet while riding their bikes to avoid head injury during traffic crash.
