National Examinations Council Releases National Common Entrance Examination Results

FG releases 2020 national common entrance exams results, fixes cut off mark  | Nairametrics

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the result of the National Common Entrance Examination 2020/2021 academic session. The Examination into Federat Unity Colleges is conducted by the National Examinations Council, NECO.

The Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, while talking with journalists in Abuja said that out of 70,580 candidates who sat for the examination, only 24, 416 passed, scoring a minimum of 66.

The Minister also said that the carrying capacity of the 110 Federal Government Unity Colleges has risen to 26,625 after 720 slots were added at the establishment of six new Federal Science and Technical Colleges in the six geo political zones of the country.

He also added that 10% of admission criteria have been allotted to biological children of teachers in accordance with President Buhari’s promise during the 2020 World Teachers Day.

Other admission criteria include 60% exclusively on merit and 30% based on states representation in the Unity Colleges.
