The National President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, Bishop Francis Wale Oke, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to urgently declare state of emergency in all the states worse hit by kidnappers, banditary, Boko Haram, gunmen and other crimes to curbed the menace.

Bishop Wale Oke made the call on Friday in Awka, Anambra State Capital, during the 2021 P.F.N Day/Prayer Rally, with the Theme, “Be Of Good Cheer, I Have Overcome The World.”

He expressed fears that the situation was about to overpower the security architecture of the country, calling on the citizens to intensify prayers for God’s intervention.

The Bishop lamented that the Police, DSS, Civil Defence, military personnel, who have been killed on daily basis, especially in the north, have all try their best to end the ungodly act, but yet to no avail.

He expressed dismay that Nigerians can no longer sleep with their two eyes closed in their own father land because of those that do not want the country to enjoy democracy after years of military rule.

He urged Nigerians, irrespective of tribe, ethicity or religion, to develop more love for one another to sustain peace and unity in the country.

Anambra State Chairman of P.F.N, Bishop Moses Ezedebego, in his welcome address, thanked Governor Willie Obiano, for giving out the Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka, free of charge for the rally.

The Chairman of P.F.N for good governance Committee, Dr. Amaechi Nwachukwu, in his brief speech, said he would use the platform to mobilize registered voters for a credible candidate that will take over from Governor Obiano.

The State SSG, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu, represented governor Obiano, while  candidates of PDP, Mr. Valentine Ozigbo, Professor Charles Soludo of APGA, as well as running mate to ADC candidate, Pastor Law Uyamadu and AAC representative were also present at the rally.
