NDLEA recovers billion naira worth of drugs in nationwide raids

In a nationwide operation, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) seized multi-billion-naira worth of drugs, including 12.814 kilograms of cocaine hidden in heavy-duty pivot shafts and Ghanaian Kente fabric in Lagos. Additionally, 532 parcels of synthetic cannabis, known as “Loud,” were intercepted at the Tincan Seaport, Lagos.

In a statement by the Director, Media & Advocacy, Femi Babafemi on Sunday, in another operation, NDLEA officers destroyed 1,230 kilograms of cannabis on a three-hectare farm in Kogi State, arresting the farm owner

Commending the officers for their diligent work , NDLEA Chairman, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Marwa (Rtd), said that these operations, spanning multiple states, highlight the NDLEA’s ongoing efforts to curb drug trafficking and abuse across Nigeria.
