Anambra State new Acting Executive Secretary/Director Agency For Mass Literacy Adult and Non-Formal Education, Mrs Regina Orakwe has appealed to staff members of the Agency for teamwork and transparency to move the agency forward.
Mrs Orakwe made the appeal during her first meeting with the staff members after replacing Mr Donatus Nwosu, the former director, who has retired from the agency.
The meeting was held at the Agency’s Vocational Centre at the ASUBEB premises in Awka.
In her speech orakwe revealed that she was new to the job and unapologitically needs the insights and experiences of the staff members to make her job easy as she was ready to learn on the job.
She urged all staff members for teamwork, transparency and good delivery ability in the discharge of their duties, as that will have them achieve enviable Heights.
Finally Mrs Regina bade farewell to the immediate retired executive director of the Agency Mr Nwosu, while describing him as an exceptional leader and mentor.
The new director also thanked the Commissioner for Education Prof. Kate Omenugha for the great opportunity provided her as the new acting executive secretary/director, promising to take the Agency higher heights than she met it.
The head of Administration Department of the Agency, Mr Onyeka Anyaeji, thanked the Acting executive secretary, pledging to support her office throughout her tour of duty at the Agency.
