The Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps Anambra State, CC Andrew Kumapayi, yesterday, received in audience the newly posted Commanding Officer 14 Field Engineer Regiment, Nigerian Army, Onitsha, Lieutenant Colonel Aondoaseel Adeke, in his office at the FRSC Anambra State Headquarters, Awka.
Speaking on the occasion, Lieutenant Colonel Adeke, said the purpose of the visit was to familiarize with the FRSC formation in Anambra State and seek areas of synergy between the two agencies, stressing that teamwork between agencies will help improve security and safety of lives and properties in the State.
The State FRSC Sector Commander, CC Andrew Kumapayi, who welcomed and appreciated the Commanding Officer 14 Field Engineer Regiment Onitsha, for the visit, assured him of the Command’s continual improvement of the healthy and cordial working relationship the Nigerian Army and the Federal Road Safety Corps has been enjoying in the State.
Both agencies agreed to work in synergy to ensure the safety of lives and property of ndi Anambra, especially on the highways.
Similarly, the Anambra State Commandant of Nigeria Security And Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Commandant David Bille also received in audience, the newly posted Commanding Officer 14 Field Engineer Regiment Nigerian Army Engineers Onitsha, Lieutenant Colonel Aondoaseel Adeke, in his office at the State Command Headquarters, Awka, Anambra State.
Lieutenant Adeke said the purpose of visit was to familiarize with NSCDC in the state, seek areas of mutual interest where both agencies could collaborate especially in sharing of security information and to solicit a seamless and cordial working relationship towards provision of safety and Security.
The State Commandant of the NSCDC Commandant Bille expressed appreciation for the visit and assured the visitor of the Command’s readiness to work with the Nigerian Army.
He also thanked the Nigerian Army for the assistance they have always rendered to the Corps and solicited more collaboration especially in capacity training of personnel and protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure.
The visit ended with both agencies agreeing to explore more areas of collaboration aimed at securing and protecting lives, as well as eliminating all forms of crime and criminality in the State.
