Nigeria drops to 118 positions in the latest ranking of Global Innovative Economies.

Nigeria has dropped to 118 positions in the latest ranking of Global Innovative Economies. The global innovation index (G11) published by the World Intellectual Property Organization on Sunday showed that Nigeria, which stood at 114 and 117 in 2019 and 2020 respectively dropped to 118 in 2021 among 132 countries.

According to the report,standing at 61, South Africa emerged as the best economy in Africa , followed by Tunisia and Morocco at 71 and 77 respectively.

Switzerland stood at number one on the list of global innovative economies while Sweden and the United States of America stood at second and third positions respectively.
