Nigerians have demanded justice for the killing of an Enugu-based Make-up Artist, Miss Ijeoma, who was poisoned over an alleged affair with a boyfriend of one Chiamaka Ifezue. Kpakpando gathered that Miss Chiamaka, in connivance with her sibling, Chukwuemeka Ifezue, contacted the deceased for a make-up job and lured her into a secluded area and forced her drink poison before pouring an acid chemical all over her body. The suspects were arraigned before Chief Magistrate J. I. Agu of the Enugu North Magisterial District on Wednesday on allegations of murder but the magistrate declined jurisdiction and remanded them until February 24.
Reacting on social media, many Nigerians insisted that justice or law must take its full force on anyone found guilty. A Twitter user, simply identified as Uncle Maazi, lamented the killing, saying: “So a fellow lady killed you because of a man? “That lady n the brother will surely end up in jail for life. Well, I pray we don’t end up dating/marrying toxic women. R.I.P Ijeoma.” Twitter user, Dominic Oluka said, “Ijeoma was my senior colleague during my university days in Psychology department Imo State University. Such a wonderful and beautiful soul. She doesn’t deserve to die this way #JusticeForIjeoma”.
