Notorious bandit commander Kachalla Sharme, others killed in Kaduna

A notorious bandit commander, Kachalla Tukur Sharme has been killed in a clash with a rival group in the forest.

Sharme was killed along with other members of his gang.

Samuel Aruwan, Overseeing Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Kaduna State, disclosed this in a statement on Monday.

Aruwan said the information emerged following diligent follow-up operations and extensive human intelligence networks.

He explained that Sharme and other bandits were killed in a fratricidal clash, noting that two other bandits from the rival group were also killed in the fierce gun duel.

Aruwan stated that the development enabled some kidnapped citizens to escape from captivity.
